Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an experienced RN for a GI/Endoscopy travel assignment in Santa Fe, NM. You will work in the hospital's Surgical Services Endoscopy/GI department with a day shift (7:00 AM–3:30 PM) and a weekend on-call schedule.

Active NM or compact RN license, BLS and ACLS (AHA) are required, with 1 year of related nursing experience preferred and BSN preferred. Housing allowance, travel reimbursements, and insurance options are included; CHRISTUS Health System alumni require

Qualifications

• Active RN license in NM or compact required.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications via AHA required.
• 1 year of related nursing specialty experience preferred.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Works in the Surgical Services Endoscopy/GI department of a hospital setting.
• Day shift schedule, 5 days per week, 8-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
• Weekend on-call requirement of 2 weekend call shifts per month plus 1 call night per week.
• Floating to other departments within Surgical Services required.
• Provides nursing care utilizing the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
• Administers medications and treatments and monitors for side-effects and effectiveness.
• Documents patient history, symptoms, medication, and care given.
• Assesses learning needs and educates patients, families, and caregivers.
• Addresses complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
• Candidates must live within a 50-mile radius for local consideration.
• Previous CHRISTUS Health System employees must have a 6-month separation period before being eligible for a travel assignment.
