Requirements include eighteen months of acute care perioperative nursing experience as both scrub and circulating nurse, active RN license, RNFA program completion meeting AORN standards, and BLS/ACLS/CNOR certifications.

Qualifications

• Eighteen months of recent experience in acute care perioperative nursing as scrub and circulating nurse.
• Active RN license from an accredited nursing program.
• Completion of an RNFA program meeting AORN standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgeon with intraoperative functions including retraction, hemostasis, tissue handling and wound closure.
• Provide direct perioperative patient care as first assistant to the surgeon during procedures.
