Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cath Lab/EP position with strip interpretation and on-call availability.

The role requires active VA or compact RN license, BLS and ACLS, and EPIC/MacLab experience. Expect a day shift with on-call rotations and a focus on read strips and patient care.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in VA or compact licensure.
• Current BLS (AHA) and ACLS certifications.
• Minimum 2 years of cath lab or EP experience.
• Ability to read and interpret cardiac strips.
• Experience with Epic EMR is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform Cath Lab/EP procedures with about 8 cases per day.
• Utilize Epic EMR and MacLab systems.
• Work day shift, 7:00 AM–5:30 PM, Monday–Friday.
• No float requirement; on-call rotation covers nights and weekends.
• Respond to on-call within 30 minutes; rotate every 3rd week.
• Holiday coverage follows on-call schedule.
• Orientation lasts 1 week; scrubs provided.
• Candidates must reside within 50 miles; local hires at lower rate.
• Returning employees may reapply after 12 months.

Job description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cath Lab/EP position requiring strip interpretation skills and on-call availability.

Requirements

• Active VA or compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification (must be AHA) and ACLS required
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience required
• Must be able to read and interpret cardiac strips
• Epic EMR access/experience required

Responsibilities

• Cath Lab/EP unit performing approximately 8 cases per day
• Uses EPIC EMR and Maclab systems
• Day shift schedule, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday through Friday
• No float requirement
• Weekend coverage handled via on-call rotation only
• On-call responsibilities average one weekday night per week and one weekend per month, with a 30-minute response time
• Call rotation every 3rd week and weekend
• Holiday coverage consists of 1 major or 2 minor holidays, covered by on-call
• Floor orientation lasts 1 week
• Maroon scrubs are provided
• Must reside within a 50-mile radius; local candidates accepted at a lower rate
• Previous permanent employees may return 12 months after their last shift worked
