Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Night Shift RN for a Progressive Care Unit in Rome, GA. This 13-week assignment requires GA or Compact RN license and cardiac telemetry experience, with 36 hours weekly on 12-hour nights.

The 34-bed Cardiac Stepdown unit supports chest pain, arrhythmias, CHF and post-catheterization patients, using EPIC EMR and titratable drips. You will float to Med-Surg and Critical Care areas and collaborate with CNAs, respiratory therapists, and other staff.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (GA or Compact) required
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• CPI certification provided if not held
• Minimum 2 years of PCU or related specialty experience, within last year
• PCU skills including arrhythmia monitoring and knowledge of cardiac titratable drips
• Last 4 digits of SSN and full DOB required
• Minimum 1 professional reference within last year from supervisor/manager/director/charge RN
• Must be separated from any AHSE facility for at least 1 year if previously employed

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to cardiac stepdown patients including monitoring for arrhythmias and administering titratable cardiac drips
• Work alongside CNAs, nurse techs, respiratory therapists, phlebotomists, safety sitters, Virtual RN, and Virtual Patient Observers
• Two nurses required to place Foley catheters per facility policy
• Orientation includes one week of facility-wide NEO followed by 2-3 days of department-specific training
• 70% holiday coverage required

• Up to 7 days of RTO may be approved in advance if participating in clinical interviewing and extending contract
• First-time travelers will be considered but are not preferred
