Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with cardiac catheterization to diagnose heart conditions or as treatment.
• Assist with angioplasties, valvuloplasties and stent placements.
• Help implant pacemakers and implantable cardioverter‑defibrillators (ICDs).
• Maintain and monitor EKG equipment and assist during angioplasty, cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology.
• Learn complex technologies effectively.
• Stand, walk for long periods, bend, lean, stoop; lift up to 20 pounds routinely and up to 50 pounds when moving patients.
• Coping with stress and relate to people of all ages and backgrounds.

Qualifications

• ACLS, BLS, 1.5 years recent acute care experience.
• Additional certifications may be required before assignment.
