Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking a Registered Nurse for a Bone Marrow Transplant unit in Indiana. The role requires stepdown or critical care experience, BLS, and IN license; ACLS and advanced oncology certifications preferred.

You will work in a 17-bed unit handling high-acuity hematology/oncology patients with ventilators and complex therapies. Expect 3x12 shifts, weekends/holidays as needed, on-call, and potential floats to related units.

Qualifications

• Active IN or compact RN license required.
• BLS certification required; ACLS and ONS chemotherapy/immunotherapy certification preferred.
• Strong ICU or stepdown nursing experience.
• Experience with blood administration, electrolyte replacement, neuro assessments, central line dressing changes, and high-risk drug administration required.
• ONcology/Hematology, chemotherapy administration, BMT and critical care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work on a 17-bed Bone Marrow Transplant unit within Oncology/Hematology.
• Cares for hematology and BMT patients requiring blood and electrolyte replacement, neuro assessments, long-term IV therapy, chemotherapy, and PT needs.
• Patient ratios of 1:1, 1:2, and 1:3 depending on acuity.
• Uses ventilators, Alaris pumps, Phillips monitors, Stryker beds, Sara Steady lifts, and patient lifts.
• Documents in EPIC and Beacon EMR systems.
• 3x12 day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM.
• Required to work every 3rd weekend and holidays as needed.
• On-call requirement applies.
• Floats to like units including stepdown, critical care, and oncology units; may float to acute care units.
• Provide direct patient care to long-term BMT and hematology patients with compassion.
• Work collaboratively as part of a team, asking questions and learning new skills.
• Navy scrubs required; only approved facility-branded scrubs and t-shirts permitted.
• Mandatory online education modules completed prior to first day, followed by unit orientation.
• Local candidates within 50 miles accepted at a reduced bill rate.
