Job summary

Trinity Health's FirstChoice RT staffing program seeks a part-time Respiratory Therapist to float across hospital locations within Mount Carmel St. Ann's and surrounding regions. The role supports short- and long-term assignments within the health system.

You will work under AARC guidelines, demonstrating professional practice and independence, while collaborating with clinicians to deliver quality outcomes and adapt to evolving responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Must be a Respiratory Therapist with registry eligibility.
• Effective communication with patients, physicians and staff.
• Basic computer skills in a Windows environment.

What you will do

• Qualified and willing to float throughout the hospital and/or throughout multiple hospital locations and/or regions
• Knows, understands, incorporates & demonstrates standard elements of professional practice per AARC guidelines.
• Acts independently & appropriately within, scope of knowledge & experience in practice area.
• Retains accountability for delegation, choices, decisions & outcomes
• Collaborates with key stakeholders & contributes to quality & improvement practices & outcomes
• Exhibits agility & willingness to take on new & additional responsibilities
• Embraces new ideas & cultural differences while managing competing priorities

Minimum Qualifications

• Respiratory Therapist
• Graduate of a two-year advanced practitioner -Accredited Respiratory Therapist program: Registry eligible.
• Current CRT or RRT credential.
• Valid State License in Respiratory Care if required in the state you are working.
• Interpersonal skills necessary to effectively communicate with patients, physicians and other health personnel and department management during all situations and in line with our mission and values.
• Analytical skills necessary to identify patient’s needs.
• Demonstrated basic computer skills in a Windows environment.
