Job summary

Focus Staff is seeking a traveling Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to support patient care in Louisville, KY. The contract assignment is 13 weeks, with a 3x12 night shift, and involves collaboration with physicians, nurses and other therapists.

Candidates should have at least 2 years of experience, current CPR/BCLS, and prefer ACLS/PALS/NALS/NRP. We offer health insurance, 401K matching, licensing reimbursement and a supportive agency network.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Respiratory Therapist
• Maintain current CPR or BCLS certification.
• BCLS, ACLS, PALS, NALS, or NRP preferred
• Excellent communication skills with the staff, physicians, patients and families

Responsibilities

• Evaluating patient and recommends a treatment plan
• Providing respiratory care to patients with critical and complex medical and surgical conditions
• Performing insertion and removal of endotracheal tubes
• Performing timely and accurate documentation
• Promoting continuous quality improvement
• Teaching and counseling patients/families
