Job summary

HealthForce Healthcare is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a travel assignment in Boston, MA. The 13-week position features 12-hour nights (7:00 pm–7:30 am) with every other weekend/holiday coverage and 36 guaranteed hours per week.

Start date is 11/16/2026. Local rate policy applies within 50 miles, with the local rate $10 less than posted. Prior MICU/SICU and EPIC experience are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Active MA Respiratory Care license and RRT certification.
• BLS certification; NPS and/or ACCS preferred.
• 5+ years of recent Level 1 trauma facility experience.
• Recent critical care experience in MICU and SICU.
• Proficiency with lung-protective ventilation; able to make ventilator decisions based on assessments and labs.
• EPIC experience required.

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed respiratory therapies and monitor patient response.
• Manage invasive and non-invasive ventilation, adjusting settings based on patient assessments and laboratory data.
• Monitor respiratory status, perform daily rounds with MICU/SICU teams, and document care.
• Participate on the Code Blue team and respond to respiratory emergencies.
• Utilize lung-protective ventilation strategies and document ventilator decisions in the medical record (EPIC).
• Assist with airway management and extubation readiness as appropriate.
