Qualifications

• Respiratory Therapist credential by the NBRC and CPR certification required.
• Eighteen months of respiratory care experience preferred, ideally in a critical care setting.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, treat, and care for patients with breathing or cardiopulmonary disorders per physician orders and policies.
• Participate in development and/or implementation of patient care plans.
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and guidelines.
• Maintain professional communications with all care teams and patients’ families.
• Instruct patients and caretakers in therapy methods and objectives.
• Prepare and update patient records accurately and legibly.
