Qualifications

• NBRC Respiratory Therapist credential required and CPR certification required.
• Eighteen months of respiratory care experience preferred, ideally in a critical care setting.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, treat, and care for patients with breathing or other cardiopulmonary disorders.
• Provide respiratory care to patients per physician orders and established policies and procedures.
• Participate in development and/or implementation of patient care plans.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and accepted practice guidelines.
• Maintain professional communications with staff, patients, and families.
• Educate patients and caretakers on therapy methods and objectives.
• Prepare and update patient records accurately and legibly.
