Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for a NICU position at a children’s hospital in Charlottesville, Virginia. Level IV NICU experience and RRT certification are required.

Shift is days, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 AM–7:00 PM), 36 hours per week, for 13 weeks starting Nov 9, 2026. Every other weekend and two of the winter holidays are required. Self-scheduling is used; Epic EMR experience is preferred.

• RRT certification in-hand required (no pending)
• BLS certification required

• Active state license; VA temp license accepted if licensed elsewhere

• Work in the Level IV NICU at a children's hospital


• Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM


• Can offer 36 or 48 hours per week


• Every other weekend required


• Every other holiday required, including 2 of the 3 winter holidays


• Unit uses a self-scheduling model, though preferred schedules cannot be guaranteed


• Epic EMR experience needed for SRO Float Pool and Inpatient Units

Requirements
