Job summary

HealthTrust Workforce Solutions partners with MaineHealth to offer travel nurse opportunities across its network of facilities in Maine. Assignments are 8, 10, or 13 weeks based on facility need, in locations such as Maine Medical Center – Portland.

Roles cover direct patient care, care coordination, and education for patients and families. Qualified candidates bring at least 1 year of acute care hospital experience, applicable certifications, and a degree from an accredited school.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year acute care experience in a hospital setting.
• Appropriate certifications as required for specific position.
• Degree from an accredited school.
• Abide by code of conduct and compliance policies and expectations.
• Ability to communicate clearly and to read, write, speak, and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Assist healthcare professionals in delivering patient care
• Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition to care team, physician, patient, and family
• Collaborate across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfer, discharge, referral, and psychosocial support needs
• Evaluate learning needs of patient and/or family and provide education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances
• Work as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient
