Job summary

YAD HEALTHCARE seeks a Respiratory Therapist to travel between skilled nursing facilities, educating staff and implementing respiratory programs. You will review plans of care and collaborate with rehab staff, physicians, and nurses to elevate patient outcomes.

You will also lead nursing education and manage each facility’s respiratory program. Applicants must hold a North Carolina license and possess strong communication, planning, and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

• NC License required.
• Travel to multiple skilled nursing facilities.
• Educate nursing staff on pulmonary status and therapies.

Responsibilities

• Educate nursing staff to monitor and assess pulmonary status.
• Develop and implement respiratory programs to treat acute/chronic illness.
• Review resident’s plan of care for appropriateness.
• Collaborate with rehab staff, physician, and nurses to improve care.
• Be responsible for continuous nursing education and managing each facility’s respiratory program.
