Healthforce Healthcare LLC seeks a Travel Respiratory Therapist for a 13-week assignment at a short-term acute care hospital in Templeton, CA. Start date 11/02/2026, 3x12-hour night shifts, with guaranteed 36 hours per week.

The role supports adult and geriatric patients, including ventilation care and respiratory therapies, with assignment-wide support from Healthforce Healthcare LLC throughout the contract.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved Respiratory Therapy Program.
• NBRC-registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or NBRC-Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT); BLS; NRP; ACLS; PALS; AHA-NRP or ARC-NALS; AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS; AHA-PALS or ARC-PALS (required at time of hire or within 90 days)
• Preferred Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license
• At least two years of recent respiratory care experience; NICU and pediatric experience; ability to intubate

Responsibilities

• Provide basic and critical respiratory care for adult and geriatric patients, including aerosol and oxygen therapy and care for ventilator patients
• Administer prescribed therapies, monitor responses, and adjust as needed in collaboration with physicians
• Draw arterial blood gases per policy and physician orders; document results and actions
• Complete documentation in electronic medical records, flow sheets, and patient charges; maintain accurate records for each patient
• Assist in training and supervision of new staff as delegated; collaborate with nursing personnel to ensure safe, effective pulmonary care
• Maintain and troubleshoot respiratory equipment; participate in department workflows and quality improvement activities
