ARMStaffing is seeking a travel Respiratory Therapist for a 13-week assignment in Newark, Ohio. The role requires delivering intensive respiratory care, evaluating patients, and educating patients on discharge. The position involves day shifts (12 hours) with 3 shifts per week and a 36-hour workweek.

Candidates must hold a valid Respiratory Therapist license with BLS/ACLS certifications. Experience in intensive respiratory care is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Respiratory Therapist license and appropriate certifications in BLS and ACLS.
• Travel assignment with 36 hours per week and 12-hour shifts.
• Experience in intensive respiratory care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct physician-prescribed respiratory treatments using ventilatory equipment (invasive and non-invasive).
• Administer medications, humidification, ventilation, and oxygenation to patients.
• Perform chest physiotherapy and suctioning by various methods.
• Monitor oximetry and capnography according to policy.
• Review chest X-rays and assist with related procedures.
• Perform arterial punctures and monitor test results.
• Carry out CPR according to BLS and ACLS guidelines.
• Maintain accurate records of treatments and patient responses.
• Communicate therapy effectiveness to attending physicians during shift transitions.
