HonorHealth is seeking Respiratory Therapists for its Internal Travel Program in the Phoenix area. The position involves setting up and operating respiratory care equipment, evaluating therapy outcomes, and coordinating with physicians.

Responsibilities include arterial puncture, blood gas analysis, ventilator management, and patient airway care across general and critical care areas. Travel assignments run 13 weeks with potential extensions.

Responsibilities

• Sets up, operates, and administers all types of respiratory care equipment and procedures to diagnose and treat respiratory disease.
• Evaluates therapeutic objectives and outcomes and transcribes orders.
• Performs arterial puncture, blood gas analysis, co-oximetry, ECGs, electrolytes, and basic pulmonary function testing.
• Monitors mechanical ventilators and ensures airway patency and humidification.
• Performs routine respiratory therapies, oxygen administration, and related procedures.
• Collects specimens and performs tests; documents results in medical records.
• Assists physicians in procedures and resuscitation efforts.
