Job summary

Focus Staff is seeking a traveling Respiratory Therapist for a contract assignment in Redding, California. The role supports patient care during the COVID-19 crisis with a 13-week duration and a 12-hour day shift schedule (3x12 days) at 36 hours per week.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as a respiratory therapist (or equivalently titled)
• Current CPR/BCLS certification
• ACLS, PALS, NALS, or NRP preferred

Responsibilities

• Evaluating patients and recommending a treatment plan
• Providing respiratory care to critically and medically complex patients
• Inserting and removing endotracheal tubes as needed
• Documenting care and procedures in a timely and accurate manner
• Promoting continuous quality improvement and patient safety
• Teaching and counseling patients and families
