Responsibilities

• Conduct physician‑prescribed respiratory treatments and operate various ventilatory equipment.
• Administer medications, humidification, ventilation, and oxygenation to the patient through multiple devices.
• Perform chest physiotherapy to promote secretion clearance.
• Execute suctioning of the patient by oropharyngeal, nasal, and tracheal methods.
• Monitor oximetry and capnography according to policy guidelines.
• Review patients' chest x‑rays to determine necessary evaluations.
• Conduct 12‑Lead EKG and recognize basic arrhythmias.
• Assist with respiratory care‑related procedures such as bronchoscopy and chest tube placement.
• Carry out tracheostomy care and the insertion/removal of tracheostomy tubes.
