Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a travel Registered Respiratory Therapist for a 13-week contract in Austin, Texas. The role requires an active RRT license, ACLS and BLS certifications, and at least 1 year of respiratory therapy experience.

36 hours per week, 12-hour days, with a start date of Oct 12, 2026. The Respiratory Therapist will work a 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM day shift in the Respiratory Care unit, with no on-call requirements and 1 opening available.

Qualifications

• Active RRT license required.
• Current ACLS and BLS certification required.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in respiratory therapy.
• Certifications must not expire within first 30 days of assignment start.
• No gaps in work history exceeding 90 days within the past 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Perform respiratory therapy duties including nebulizer treatments, oxygen therapy and ventilator management.
• ICU, NICU and PICU experience preferred.
• Lead and assist in routine care per physician orders as assigned.
