Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Rehabilitation for a travel nursing job in Newburgh, Indiana. This 13-week, 48 hours per week assignment requires at least 1 year of rehabilitation RN experience and a current BLS certification. Eligible for state licensure is required.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team to create and implement individualized care plans for patient recovery. Responsibilities include direct patient care, care planning, monitoring and documentation in the EHR,

Qualifications

• One year RN experience in rehabilitation setting.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Must be eligible for state licensure.
• Able to stand or walk long periods and lift with proper body mechanics.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to rehabilitation patients.
• Collaborate with rehab team to develop and implement care plans.
• Monitor vital signs and neurological function; adjust plans as needed.
• Administer medications as prescribed and manage pain.
• Educate patients and families on recovery goals and safety.
• Respond to medical emergencies and stabilize patients.
• Maintain accurate EHR documentation and progress notes.
• Assist with discharge planning and home care instructions.
• Work with physicians, therapists, case managers and social workers.
