Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Rehabilitation for a travel nursing job in Tyler, Texas. This 10‑week assignment requires RN with rehabilitation experience and a 12‑hour night shift, 36 hours per week.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team to implement individualized care plans and support patient recovery across neurological and orthopedic rehab needs. Ideal candidates have 1 year of rehab experience, BLS, and eligibility for Texas licensure.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of RN experience in a rehabilitation setting.
• Current BLS certification is required; ACLS may be required.
• Must be eligible for state licensure.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to rehab patients with neurological or orthopedic needs.
• Collaborate with rehab team to develop personalized care plans.
• Assess patient condition, monitor vitals, and adjust care plans as needed.
• Administer medications and manage pain as prescribed.
• Educate patients and families on recovery goals and independence.
• Respond to emergencies and stabilize patients when needed.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the EHR.
• Assist with discharge planning and post-discharge care.
• Work with physicians, PTs, OTs, case managers, and social workers.
