Job summary

Amergis Healthcare Staffing, Inc. seeks a travel nurse RN in Rehabilitation for Greenwood, Indiana. 13-week assignment with 36 hours per week and 12-hour shifts, travel employment.

The RN rehabilitative role focuses on restoring function after chronic illness or injury, coordinating a recovery plan and independent living goals for patients. Strong nursing judgment and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse License in the state of practice.
• One year prior nursing experience in rehabilitation preferred.
• CRRN certification may be required per state/client contract.
• Adhere to all professional standards and Amergis competency program when applicable.
• Current CPR if applicable; TB questionnaire, PPD or chest X-ray if applicable.
• Current Health certificate per contract or state regulation.
• Meet all federal, state and local requirements.
• Complete required new-hire training for the site.
• Understand confidentiality and HIPAA requirements.
• Strong communication and English proficiency; computer literacy.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Assess physical, psychological, sociocultural, and spiritual needs to inform nursing diagnoses.
• Provide nursing care and education directly or through staff.
• Coordinate educational activities for patients and families.
• Develop and implement individualized discharge and teaching plans.
• Perform hands-on nursing care and use the nursing process to achieve outcomes.
• Supervise ancillary nursing personnel and delegate as needed.
• Collaborate with the rehabilitation team to meet goals.
• Address holistic needs across medical, vocational, educational, and environmental aspects.
