Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing-Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN Rehabilitation for a 13-week assignment in Salem, VA. You’ll join a dedicated clinical team delivering rehab care on a 12-hour shift schedule.

This Rehab RN role offers 36 hours per week, competitive pay, and comprehensive benefits, with support for licensure reimbursement and professional development. Start date 10/05/2026 and BLS required; ACLS/NIHSS preferred.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as a Rehab RN
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)

Responsibilities

• Complete nursing assessment of patients on the unit and documents appropriately into patient records
• Prepare patients for surgery, including educating them about procedures and post-operative care
• Coordinate and provide holistic patient care, including mobility support, rehabilitation exercises, and ADLs
• Monitor and evaluate patients’ responses to therapeutic interventions, documenting progress and communicating any deviations or concerns to the interdisciplinary team
• Safely administer prescribed medications and treatments ensuring proper documentation and compliance with safety protocols
• Maintain a clean, organized environment and ensure rooms are adequately stocked with necessary supplies and equipment
• Assist with safe patient transport to and from therapy sessions, diagnostic procedures, or other care areas as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of practice
• Adhere to hospital safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and regulatory standards
