Key Responsibilities

• Administer medical gas therapy in accordance with all department procedures.

• Prepare and collaborate with advanced practitioners and clinical specialists to implement the respiratory care plan.
• Review charts per department policy, including orders, lab values, and chest x-rays, and document care provided accurately and consistently.
• Operate and maintain equipment in a safe and sanitary condition, following department guidelines.
• Observe patients during therapies for adverse reactions and act in accordance with department policy when problems arise.
• Monitor patient response to therapy.

Educational/Experience Requirements

• Associates Degree from an accredited college.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist credentialed by the National Board for Respiratory Care.
• State of Maryland License of eligibility as a Respiratory Care Practitioner.
• Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS CPR certification.
