Job summary

Focus Staff is seeking a travel Registered Respiratory Therapist for a 13-week assignment in Ishpeming, Michigan. This contract offers 36 hours per week with 12-hour night shifts, and the opportunity to support patient care on a busy respiratory unit.

The ideal candidate will have at least two years of RRT experience, current CPR/BCLS, and strong communication skills to collaborate with physicians and nurses. Travel staffing and crises rate considerations may apply.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience.
• Current CPR/BCLS certification required.
• ACLS, PALS, NRP or other advanced credentials preferred.
• Excellent communication and teamwork with physicians and staff.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients requiring respiratory therapy.
• Assess patient condition and develop treatment plans with care team.
• Perform procedures including endotracheal care and ventilator support.
• Document care accurately and timely.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and patient education.

Focus Staff is seeking a traveling Respiratory Therapist to help us to provide quality patient care during this COVID 19 Crisis. As a member of the Respiratory Team, develop and ensure the patient plan of care in collaboration with physicians, registered nurses, and other therapists. Requirements

• Proven experience as Repertory Therapist
• Maintain current CPR or BCLS certification.
• BCLS, ACLS, PALS, NALS, or NRP preferred
• Excellent communication skills with the staff, physicians, patients and families

Work Experience: At least 2 years of experience

Responsibilities

• Evaluating patient and recommends a treatment plan
• Providing respiratory care to patients with critical and complex medical and surgical conditions
• Performing insertion and removal of endotracheal tubes
• Performing timely and accurate documentation
