Job summary

Supplemental Health Care is seeking a travel Registered Respiratory Therapist for a 13-week contract in Hilo, Hawaii. The role is 36 hours per week with 12-hour day shifts at partner hospitals. Start ASAP, travel assignment with benefits and ongoing support from SHC.

Eligible candidates should hold a Registered Respiratory Therapist credential and have acute care experience, plus BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications. Must demonstrate strong patient service and multitasking abilities.

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Respiratory Care Practitioner.
• 1-2 years minimum acute care experience.
• Active BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
• BLS from the American Heart Association required.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to handle a multi-task environment.
• Basic PC skills such as Windows NT and computerized respiratory equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care services to individual patients and their families using the clinical process (assessment, care planning, implementation, documentation, evaluation).
• Respond to medical emergencies and perform routine maintenance on equipment.
