AHS Staffing is seeking a travel Registered Respiratory Therapist for a travel assignment in Redding, California. The role involves 3x12 shifts, 36 hours per week, and a 13-week contract with flexible scheduling and travel requirements.

Responsibilities include critical care duties across ICU and med/surg units, COPD, asthma, and related respiratory treatments. Certifications in ACLS/BLS/NRP/PALS are required, with GA state rules for licensure observed.

Formación

• Travel experience and 2-5 years of critical care experience are required.
• ACLS, BLS, NRP, PALS certifications are preferred; NICU requires NPS.
• Cerner EMR familiarity and being able to cover 3x12 shifts are expected.

Responsabilidades

• Provide respiratory therapy duties including breathing treatments and ABGs.
• Perform EKGs, NIV, HFNC, IPV, PEP/PAP therapy as appropriate.
• Manage assignments across multiple units with 2-5 years of critical care experience.

Description:

• - Unit: RT must have travel experience and 2-5 years' experience in critical care - # beds: 267, Covers ICU, and all other medsurg/tele areas
• -Certs: ACLS, BLS, NRP, PALS - NPS if want to work in NICU, state of CA requires RRT (will not accept CRT)
• - EMR: Cerner - Charge Nurse: Charge RT on 24/7 - Weekend Requirement: every other weekend - Holidays: Expect to work most holidays - Scrub Color: Black
• - Tele: GE - Vents: Hamilton, G5, C1, MR1, Galileo's
• - Hospitalist or Intensivist in house: Hospitalist 24/7 - IV Team: NO
• - RT 24/7: Yes
• - Pharmacy 24/7: Yes
• - Shifts: 12 hrs 6-630, weekends are assigned, some flexibility for week schedules, schedules made out about 3-4 weeks in advance, block scheduling cannot be accommodated.
• - Floating: To all areas except NICU - Floor specific orientation: 2 days
• - Common diagnosis/Types of patients: COPD, Asthma, PNA, CHF. Common duties include breathing treatments, ABGs, EKGs, NIV, HFNC therapy, IPV, PEP/PAP therapy, etc. Additional Notes: must have travel experience and 2-5 years' experience in critical care, with experience in Respiratory Therapy Driven Protocols. This facility is strictly protocol driven.
