Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Hospital-based Travel Respiratory Therapist to support a 13-week assignment in Pierre, South Dakota. The role requires RRT/CRT credentials and experience across ICU, ED, Med/Surg, Pediatrics and OB, with neonatal exposure preferred.

Shifts are rotating 12-hour days/nights, totaling 36 hours per week. Vaccinations and SD licensure if applicable are required for placement.

Qualifications

• Current RRT or CRT credential
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required
• Experience across all age ranges, from neonates to adults
• ICU, ER, Med/Surg, Peds, and L&D experience with neonate exposure preferred
• COVID and flu vaccinations required
• SD state license required if applicable

Responsibilities

• Work across departments including outpatient, med/surg, ICU, pediatrics, OB, and ED
• Outpatient duties may include PFTs, Holter monitors/ZioPatches, telemedicine with pulmonary physician, home sleep study instruction, and stress tests
• Inpatient duties include high-risk deliveries and c-sections in OB
• Rotating 12-hour shifts covering both days and nights
• Rotating weekend shifts required
• On-call responsibilities overnight 7p-6a
• 36 hours per week expected schedule

• Blocked scheduling and specific scheduling requests are not permitted
• Prior Avera or Sanford permanent employees are not eligible for this position
