Qualifications

• Must hold a valid respiratory therapist license with pediatric designation.
• CAAHEP-accredited respiratory therapy program completed.
• Active RT license required.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine respiratory treatments for patients.
• Operate ventilatory and aerosol equipment.
• Manage invasive and non-invasive procedures as assigned.
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments.
• Endotracheal intubation/removal where appropriate.
• Maintain accurate documentation of treatments and responses.
• Assist with lab testing procedures as needed.
• Perform CPR according to BLS/ACLS guidelines.

Job Details:

• Certifications: Must hold a valid respiratory therapist license with relevant pediatric specialty designation.
• Education Requirements: Completion of a respiratory therapy program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or equivalent.
• Degree Requirements: An active respiratory therapist license.
• Location Requirements: Ability to work at the designated healthcare facility.
• Years of Experience: Minimum of 0 years.
• Schedule: Night shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Responsibilities include performing routine respiratory treatments, operating ventilatory and aerosol equipment, managing invasive and non-invasive procedures, conducting patient assessments, performing advanced airway management including endotracheal tube insertion/removal, and maintaining accurate documentation of all treatments and patient responses.
• Additional duties involve assisting with laboratory testing procedures, performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation according to BLS and ACLS guidelines, and ensuring all equipment is properly maintained and calibrated.
