Job Summary

Respiratory Therapist Registered RT PEDS. The Respiratory Therapist provides timely diagnostic and therapeutic cardiopulmonary services to inpatient and outpatient populations. Responsibilities include airway management, ventilator support, respiratory procedures, pulmonary function studies, cardiac and pulmonary stress testing, and blood gas collection.

Job Details

• Required Qualifications: Two years of recent experience with ventilator management and weaning, tracheostomy, endotracheal tubes, continuous positive airway pressure, bilevel positive airway pressure, and nebulizer treatments; Registered Respiratory Therapist or Certified Respiratory Therapist credential through the National Board for Respiratory Care; Oklahoma respiratory therapist license; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications through the American Heart Association.
• Schedule: Night shifts consisting of 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Additional Information: Provides cardiopulmonary services according to approved protocols and departmental procedures. Duties include assisting with invasive and non-invasive procedures, administering medicated aerosols through medical compressed gas, maintaining airways, managing ventilators, inserting arterial lines, performing intubations, conducting pulmonary function studies and cardiac and pulmonary stress tests, and collecting blood gases.
