Responsibilities

• Administer a variety of simple and complex respiratory and cardiology modalities to patients.
• Maintain appropriate patient records and documentation.
• Clean, disinfect, assemble, calibrate, and maintain respiratory and cardiology equipment and accessories; evaluate equipment for proper function and report malfunctions to the director.
• Perform arterial puncture and analyze samples according to procedure guidelines.
• Interact with co‑workers, nurses, physicians, and other hospital personnel to optimize the continuum of care for the patient being treated.
• Respond to emergent situations that may require respiratory support.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of recent acute care experience as a Respiratory Therapist.
• BLS and ACLS required; NRP and PALS may be required in some areas.
• NBRC certification.
• Minimum 2 years of total experience (some certifications require this).

Physical & Other Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for long periods; bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty.
• Ability to lift 20 pounds comfortably; may need to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
• Adequate vision: close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment.

Compensation

Pay package is based on 12‑hour shifts and a total of 36 hours per week, with a tax‑free stipend to be determined.
