Job summary

Advantis Medical Staffing is seeking a Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist for a 13-week assignment at Ochsner Health Center - Baton Rouge in Baton Rouge, LA. This travel contract pays $1,882 per week and follows a Nights shift with a 3x12 schedule.

You will support patient care through specialty‑specific clinical services, perform assessments, operate ventilators and oxygen therapy equipment, document progress, and collaborate with physicians to deliver quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of recent Registered Respiratory Therapist experience.
• All required RRT licenses and LA/national credentials are held.
• Ability to work Nights on a 3x12 schedule.

Responsibilities

• Assess respiratory status and deliver ordered therapies.
• Set up, monitor, and manage mechanical ventilators.
• Draw and analyze arterial blood gases.
• Respond to rapid responses and codes; assist with intubation when assigned.

Responsibilities

• Assess respiratory status and deliver ordered therapies, including aerosolized medications and oxygen management, across assigned units
• Set up, monitor, and manage mechanical ventilators, supporting weaning per physician orders and facility protocol
• Draw and analyze arterial blood gases per facility protocol
• Respond to rapid responses and codes, providing airway support and assisting with intubation when assigned

Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist Requirements:

• 2+ years of recent Registered Respiratory Therapist experience
• Must hold all required Registered Respiratory Therapist certifications and licenses as mandated by Louisiana and national regulatory bodies
