HealthForce Healthcare is seeking a Registered Nurse in wound care (WOC) for a 13-week travel assignment in Lawrenceville, GA. The position offers 40 guaranteed hours per week with a Monday–Friday, 8:00 am–4:30 pm schedule in an inpatient setting.

The ideal candidate has a Georgia RN license, 2+ years in wound care, and formal WOC certifications (CWON/CWOCN; WCC/CWS/CWCN as applicable). BLS is required; travel assignments include non-local status and holiday work.

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license in Georgia.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent, specialized wound care experience.
• CWON or CWOCN certification required; WCC, CWS, or CWCN certifications required; ostomy certification optional.
• AHA BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Deliver specialized wound, ostomy, and continence care for assigned patients, including assessment and plan development.
• Perform wound care procedures and dressings; manage ostomy care and coordinate complex care with the interdisciplinary team.
• Document patient status, interventions, and outcomes in the EMR; ensure accurate communication with physicians and nursing staff.
• Educate patients and families on wound care routines, ostomy care, and discharge planning; provide safety and infection prevention guidance.
• Maintain compliance with infection control standards; participate in performance improvement activities.
• Collaborate with the wound care team and other specialists to optimize healing and patient recovery.

• Collaborate with the wound care team and other specialists to optimize healing, manage complications, and support overall patient recovery

Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license in Georgia
• Minimum of 2 years of recent, specialized wound care experience
• CWON or CWOCN certification required; wound care certifications WCC, CWS, or CWCN required; ostomy certification optional
• AHA BLS certification
• Ability to work in an inpatient care setting on a travel assignment
• Must comply with assignment requirements, including the no-local-candidates within 50 miles rule
• Eligible for, and able to meet, holiday scheduling obligations as specified
