Job summary

MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center – Mason City, IA is seeking experienced Registered Nurses for part-time, 12-hour night shifts through FirstChoice staffing. RNs will float across hospital locations and regions, providing patient care with accountability and collaboration within licensed practice.

Minimum qualifications include RN licensure in the applicable state, nursing degree, and required certifications (ACLS/BLS/PALS).

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Valid RN licensure in the applicable state(s).
• Minimum 18 months of clinical experience for Med Surg, Tele and PCU; 2+ years for Critical Care, Surgical, Maternal, ED and Behavioral Health.
• Credentials per specialty area (ACLS, TNCC, etc.) and BLS/ACLS/PALS must be obtained through American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Float across hospital locations or regions as needed.
• Follow professional practice standards: Assess, identify outcomes, plan, implement, evaluate.
• Work independently within license and scope of knowledge.
• Delegate, decide, and assume accountability for outcomes.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to drive quality and improvement.
• Adapt to new duties and support organizational priorities.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Valid RN licensure authorized in the applicable state(s) of practice/employment.
• Minimum of eighteen (18) months of recent clinical experience for Med Surg, Tele and PCU.
• Minimum two (2) years of recent clinical experience for all remaining specialties including Critical Care, Surgical Services, Maternal Services, Emergency Department and Behavioral Health.
• Required to have and maintain the credentials required per their specialty area (ex: ACLS, TNCC, etc). BLS, ACLS and PALS must be obtained through American Heart Association
