HealthForce Healthcare seeks an experienced Travel Registered Nurse (RN) for a contract assignment in Cozad, NE. The role requires combined Med/Surg and ER experience, with day shift duties and a strong emphasis on patient care across inpatient settings.

Candidates must hold an ADN or BSN, active RN license in Nebraska or a compact state, and current BLS/ACLS/PALS/TNCC certifications. Housing options are offered locally to support travel staff.

Qualificações

Responsabilidades

• Collaborate with physicians, mid-levels, and case managers to plan care and discharge.
• Document treatments and assessments in the TruBridge EHR system.
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses and post-discharge care.

Job Summary

Are you an experienced Travel RN looking for your next contract? We are seeking a flexible, highly skilled Travel Registered Nurse (RN) with combined Med Surg and Emergency Room (ER) experience to join our team in Cozad, NE.

Location: Cozad, NE

Pay: $2,201.08 / week

Shift: Day Shift

Key Responsibilities

• Perform complete patient assessments, continuously monitoring vital signs, clinical laboratory results, and responses to treatment plans
• Administer medications, injections, IV therapies, and perform basic procedures (wound care, dressing changes, specimen collection)
• Manage patient care across both Med Surg units and the ER, rapidly prioritizing care based on patient acuity and emergent needs
• Collaborate seamlessly with physicians, mid-level providers, ancillary teams, and case managers to develop care plans and ensure smooth discharge transitions
• Accurately document all treatments, interventions, and assessments using the TruBridge EHR system
• Provide clear, empathetic education to patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment steps, and post-discharge care

Qualifications & Requirements

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited program

Licensure

• Current, active, and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Nebraska (or compact/NLC state license)

Certifications

• Required: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)
• Highly Preferred: Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)

Experience & Skills

• Required: Proven experience in both Med/Surg and ER acute care settings
• Preferred: Critical Access Hospital experience and familiarity with telemetry or post-operative care
• Systems: Experience with or adaptability to TruBridge EHR charting
• Strong physical assessment, critical thinking, and acute inpatient care skills with the ability to balance multiple competing priorities efficiently

Work Environment

• Shift: Day Shift (Typically 12-hour shifts)
• Setting: Community healthcare facility / Critical Access Hospital setting offering manageable ratios that balance throughput with patient safety
