Job summary

FirstChoice – Trinity Health's mobile staffing solution seeks experienced RNs for part-time, night-shift work at MercyOne DeWitt Medical Center, IA. RNs float across units/locations, with premium pay and flexible scheduling; opportunities exist regionally and nationwide.

Requirements include an accredited nursing degree, valid RN license in applicable states, 18+ months Med/Surg/Tele/PCU, and specialty credentials (ACLS/TNCC). BLS/ACLS/PALS as applicable are required.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Valid RN licensure authorized in the applicable state(s).
• 18+ months of recent clinical experience for Med Surg, Tele and PCU.
• 2+ years of recent clinical experience for other specialties including CC, Surgical, Maternal, ED and Behavioral Health.
• Credentials per specialty (e.g., ACLS, TNCC). BLS, ACLS and PALS obtained through American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Float throughout the hospital and locations as needed.
• Apply standard elements of nursing practice: Assess, Identify outcomes, Plan, Implement, Evaluate.
• Act independently within license and scope of knowledge.
• Maintain accountability for decisions and outcomes.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to improve quality and outcomes.
• Adapt to new ideas and manage competing priorities.

Position Purpose:

• Qualified and willing to float throughout the hospital and/or throughout multiple hospital locations and/or regions
• Knows, understands, incorporates & demonstrates standard elements of professional practice: Assess, Outcomes Identification / Solutions, Plan, Implement, Evaluate
• Acts independently & appropriately within license, scope of knowledge & experience in practice area
• Retains accountability for delegation, choices, decisions & outcomes
• Collaborates with key stakeholders & contributes to quality & improvement practices & outcomes
• Exhibits agility & willingness to take on new & additional responsibilities
• Embraces new ideas & cultural differences while managing competing priorities

Minimum Qualifications:

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Valid RN licensure authorized in the applicable state(s) of practice/employment.
• Minimum of eighteen (18) months of recent clinical experience for Med Surg, Tele and PCU.
• Minimum two (2) years of recent clinical experience for all remaining specialties including Critical Care, Surgical Services, Maternal Services, Emergency Department and Behavioral Health.
• Required to have and maintain the credentials required per their specialty area (ex: ACLS, TNCC, etc). BLS, ACLS and PALS must be obtained through American Heart Association
