Job summary

FirstChoice is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for premium pay and flexible scheduling. RN s float across the hospital, covering MercyOne Centerville Medical Center and surrounding locations.

The role requires valid RN licensure, 18+ months in Med/Surg or Tele/PCU and 2+ years in Critical Care or ED variants; ACLS/TNCC/PALS/BLS credentials are required. Day shift with 3x12 hours and a gross weekly rate of $2,520. Travel and per diem opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
• Valid RN licensure in applicable state(s).
• 18+ months of recent clinical experience in Med/Surg/Tele/PCU.
• 2+ years in Critical Care, Surgical, Maternal, ED or Behavioral Health.
• Maintain credentials per specialty (ACLS, TNCC, PALS, BLS).

Responsibilities

• Float across hospital locations and regions as needed.
• Apply nursing process: assess, identify outcomes, plan, implement, evaluate.
• Work independently within license and scope of practice.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to improve quality and outcomes.

Position Purpose:

• Acts independently & appropriately within license, scope of knowledge & experience in practice area
• Retains accountability for delegation, choices, decisions & outcomes
• Collaborates with key stakeholders & contributes to quality & improvement practices & outcomes
• Exhibits agility & willingness to take on new & additional responsibilities
• Embraces new ideas & cultural differences while managing competing priorities

Minimum Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Valid RN licensure authorized in the applicable state(s) of practice/employment.
• Minimum of eighteen (18) months of recent clinical experience for Med Surg, Tele and PCU.
• Minimum two (2) years of recent clinical experience for all remaining specialties including Critical Care, Surgical Services, Maternal Services, Emergency Department and Behavioral Health.
• Required to have and maintain the credentials required per their specialty area (ex: ACLS, TNCC, etc). BLS, ACLS and PALS must be obtained through American Heart Association
