Job summary

Centurion Health is seeking a full-time Travel Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Centurion Eagles Travel Team at North Branch Correctional Institution in Cumberland, MD. You will provide holistic nursing care to incarcerated patients under the direction of nursing leadership and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.

The role requires an active Maryland RN license, CPR/BLS certification, and will involve shifts of three 12-hour evenings with rotating weekends and holidays across MD

Qualifications

• Licensed RN with an active Maryland license.
• Minimum one year RN experience in community outpatient clinic, hospital, or long-term care preferred.
• Corrections experience and travel nursing experience preferred; CPR/BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide holistic nursing care within the scope of practice to incarcerated patients.
• Work under the Director of Nursing and Nursing Supervisor with a multidisciplinary team.
• Assess, identify, and respond to physical, psychological, and social needs of patients.
• Support rotating evenings and weekends as part of the travel assignment.

We are currently seeking a full‑time Travel Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Centurion Eagles Travel Team at North Branch Correctional Institution located in Cumberland, MD.

Our travelers have opportunities throughout the country and are full‑time, benefit‑eligible Centurion employees.

The Travel Program RN will work between various facilities/locations throughout the state of Maryland, per contract needs. Each assignment will be restricted to one location. The RN is responsible for providing holistic nursing care within the appropriate scope of practice to incarcerated patients. Registered Nurses work under the direction of the Director of Nursing and/or Nursing Supervisor and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to identify, assess and respond to a wide range of physical, psychological and social needs of the patient.

Shift: Three 12‑hour evening shifts, 6:30 p.m.–7:00 a.m., with rotating weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Licensed RN with an active license to practice in Maryland
• Must live 80 miles from facility
• Minimum of one year of work experience as an RN in a community outpatient clinic, hospital or long‑term care facility preferred
• Corrections experience preferred
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
• Must be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio‑Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)/ BLS
• Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check
