Job summary

Trinity Health's FirstChoice RN program seeks experienced Registered Nurses for premium, flexible mobile staffing across the health system. FirstChoice RNs float to fill short and long‑term assignments at St.

Joseph Regional Medical Center Mishawaka and other locations, supporting Med‑Surg, Telemetry, PCU and specialty areas. Start dates are flexible; shifts include DAYS and 5x8 blocks with a guaranteed weekly rate of $2,628.

Qualifications

• RN license in applicable state(s) of practice.
• Minimum 18 months recent clinical experience for Med Surg, Tele and PCU.
• Minimum 2 years for all remaining specialties including CC, Surg, Maternal, ED and Behavioral Health.
• Credentials per specialty area (e.g., ACLS, TNCC).
• BLS, ACLS and PALS must be through the American Heart Association.

• Float across hospital locations and regions as needed.
• Apply professional practice elements: assess, plan, implement, evaluate.
• Act independently within license and scope of knowledge.

What you will do:

• Qualified and willing to float throughout the hospital and/or throughout multiple hospital locations and/or regions
• Knows, understands, incorporates & demonstrates standard elements of professional practice: Assess, Outcomes Identification / Solutions, Plan, Implement, Evaluate
• Acts independently & appropriately within license, scope of knowledge & experience in practice area
• Retains accountability for delegation, choices, decisions & outcomes
• Collaborates with key stakeholders & contributes to quality & improvement practices & outcomes

Minimum Qualifications:

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Valid RN licensure authorized in the applicable state(s) of practice/employment.
• Minimum of eighteen (18) months of recent clinical experience for Med Surg, Tele and PCU.
• Minimum two (2) years of recent clinical experience for all remaining specialties including Critical Care, Surgical Services, Maternal Services, Emergency Department and Behavioral Health.
• Required to have and maintain the credentials required per their specialty area (ex: ACLS, TNCC, etc).
• BLS, ACLS and PALS must be obtained through American Heart Association
