Overview

Registered Nurse | Med Surg | travel assignment in Boston, MA. Start date 10/19/2026 for a 13-week contract. Guaranteed hours 36 per week, with 12-hour shifts rotating 7a-7:30p and 7p-7:30a, including every other weekend and holiday. The assignment is in a hospital-level Med/Surg unit (38 beds) that serves neurology, stroke, and general medical patients. Telemetry rhythm interpretation is required; experience with auto med dispensing systems is needed. Telemetry testing will occur on day 1. Weekly pay ranges from $2,390 to $2,411 per week.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care for medical-surgical patients on a 38-bed unit, with patient ratios typically 1:4 or 1:5
• Monitor and interpret telemetry rhythm strips; respond promptly to rhythm changes
• Administer medications using auto med dispensing systems; document administration accurately in the medical record
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to implement care plans, assist with discharge planning, and monitor patient status
• Utilize the electronic health record (EPIC experience is a plus) and complete timely, accurate charting
• Maintain patient safety, infection control practices, and standard of care during the shift

Requirements

• Current Massachusetts RN license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• 2+ years of acute care experience in medical-surgical nursing
• Ability to independently read and interpret telemetry rhythm strips
• Experience with auto med dispensing systems
• Telemetry rhythm test on day 1
• Willingness to work 12-hour shifts, including rotating day/night coverage and weekends/holidays as scheduled
• Preferred: experience in surgical, neurological, or orthopedic settings
