Job summary

HealthForce Healthcare in the United States is seeking a Registered Nurse for a GI Lab assignment in Cumming, Georgia. Start date 09/14/2026 for 16 weeks in a GI lab environment focused on interventional procedures.

Travel - temporary assignment with a 4x10-hour shift schedule (Mon–Fri) and on-call requirements; weekly pay ranges from $1,814 to $1,970. The role requires at least 2 years GI Lab RN experience with AHA BLS and ACLS, and you will work with physicians and staff to ensure patient

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent, specialized GI Lab RN experience.
• AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Ability to work 4x10-hour shifts, Monday–Friday, with on-call responsibility during the week and weekends.
• Willingness to work the specified holiday requirements (two major holidays and one minor holiday).
• No local candidates within 50 miles.

Responsibilities

• Provide RN-led care for patients undergoing GI and pulmonary interventional procedures, including colonoscopy, EGD, bronchoscopy, ERCP, EBUS, and related interventions.
• Assist with sedation, monitor patient status, manage vital signs, and respond to emergencies during procedures.
• Prepare procedure rooms, ensure sterile technique, and manage equipment and supplies for GI and pulmonary procedures.
• Monitor and document patient progress before, during, and after procedures; provide post-procedure recovery instructions.
• Collaborate with physicians, anesthesiologists, and support staff to coordinate safe, efficient patient care and throughput.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the EHR and adherence to infection control and safety standards.
• Participate in call coverage as required and support holiday and shift staffing needs.
