Job summary

HealthForce Healthcare in Saint Helena, CA seeks a Cath Lab RN for a 13-week travel assignment starting 09/28/2026, 40 hours weekly, day shift (5x8s).

This role requires an active CA RN license, BLS/ACLS, EPIC experience, and 5 years Cath Lab experience including structural heart, vascular and emergent cases. On-call 2 days/week and some weekends; credentialing support provided.

Qualifications

• Active California RN license required.
• BLS and ACLS required.
• Minimum 5 years Cath Lab nursing experience incl. structural heart, vascular, diagnostic, Impella, ECMO, and emergent cath cases.
• EPIC experience required.
• BSN preferred.
• Ability to work 2 days per week of on-call and 1–2 weekends per month; day-shift schedule.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct nursing care to adults undergoing Cath Lab procedures per nursing process and standards.
• Assist with Cath Lab procedures including structural heart, vascular, diagnostic, Impella, ECMO, and emergent cases.
• Monitor hemodynamics and vital signs; administer medications and ensure safety protocols.
• Collaborate with cardiology, anesthesia, radiology, and care team; assist in planning and discharge coordination.
• Maintain sterile technique and infection control; document care in EHR and communicate needs to team.
• Educate patients and families; contribute to discharge planning and transitions.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct nursing care to adults undergoing Cath Lab procedures, following the nursing process and established standards of care
• Assist with Cath Lab procedures, including structural heart, vascular, diagnostic, Impella, ECMO, and emergent cath cases
• Monitor patients’ hemodynamics and vital signs during procedures; administer medications as prescribed and reinforce safety protocols
• Collaborate with cardiology, anesthesia, radiology, and other members of the care team; participate in planning and discharge coordination
• Maintain sterile technique and infection control practices; document care in the electronic health record and communicate patient needs to the team
• Provide patient and family education and contribute to ongoing discharge planning and care transitions

Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license in California
• BLS (Basic Life Support) required; ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) required
• Minimum 5 years Cath Lab nursing experience; experience must include structural heart, vascular, diagnostic, Impella, ECMO, and emergent cath cases
