Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a Travel Registered Dietitian for a 13-week assignment at a facility in El Paso, TX. Start ASAP; pay is $1,995 per week; travel allied position with comprehensive benefits.

Qualified candidates have at least one year of recent RD experience, a valid Dietitian license, and current BLS certification. The role includes diet order evaluation, patient education, nutrition planning, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as a registered dietitian.
• Valid Dietitian license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).

Responsibilities

• Evaluate diet orders and recommend changes as indicated.
• Instruct patients and families on dietary principles, restrictions, and practical strategies to achieve health goals per physician diet order.
• Conduct patient visitations including screening for nutrition concerns relating to malnutrition, tube feeding, TPN, and special diets related to disease.
• Develop personalized nutrition plans and implement interventions based on knowledge of the patient's current health.
• Monitor the effectiveness of nutrition plans, adjusting as needed to improve outcomes.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to include physicians, nurses, and aides.
• Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of practice for Registered Dietitians

Summary

Registered Dietitians provide expert advice on food and nutrition to support patients' health and well-being. They assess dietary needs, develop personalized nutrition plans, and monitor outcomes to manage chronic conditions, address malnutrition, or meet specific health goals.

Essential Work Functions

• Evaluate appropriateness of diet order for diagnosis and recommend diet order changes as indicated
• Instruct patients and patient families on dietary principles, restrictions, and practical strategies to achieve health goals per physician diet order

• Mental Requirements - Must be able to cope with frequent contact with the general public and customers while meeting deadlines under pressure. Must be able to work under close supervision occasionally, as well as working without assistance from other personnel. Must be able to contend with irregular activity schedules occasionally and continuous concentration to detail
• Sensory - Must possess visual acuity and ability to effectively communicate
