ESS Canada is seeking a Sandwich Maker responsible for preparing, presenting, and serving meals in a fast-paced environment while maintaining food quality and presentation. The role emphasizes safety, sanitation, and customer service in a healthcare/food service setting.

The position requires FoodSafe Level 1 or equivalent, ability to manage heavy workloads, and teamwork with other staff. Local applicants preferred, travel and accommodations are provided where needed, with benefits after three

Qualifications

• FoodSafe Level 1 Certification or provincial equivalent.
• Strong time management and organizational skills to handle a heavy workload.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Good command of English, written and verbal, and ability to follow instructions.
• Experience in healthcare/hotel/restaurant/fast food is an asset.

Responsabilités

• Perform prep work: washing, peeling, cutting and seeding fruits and vegetables.
• Carry pans, kettles and trays to/from work stations safely.
• Store food with proper dating, wrapping and rotation for safety.
• Follow recipes to standards and ensure quality and serving temperatures.
• Clean duties and remove trash to designated areas.
• Distribute supplies and utensils as needed.
• Follow approved recipes and production standards for portion control.
• Serve customers in a friendly, efficient manner.
