Job summary

The Division of Local Public Health – Scott County Local Public Health Unit in Arkansas is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse. You will provide essential direct patient care under supervision, assess patient needs, and help implement treatment plans.

Under RN or physician oversight, you will monitor vital signs, assist with activities of daily living, administer medications, and document care in electronic health records.

Qualifications

• Completion of a state-approved practical nursing program.
• Current LPN licensure in Arkansas.
• Willingness to travel to other Local Health Clinics and occasional out-of-state training.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and record patient vital signs, symptoms, and medical history.
• Assist patients with daily activities, such as bathing, dressing, and eating.
• Administer prescribed medications and injections under supervision.
• Assist in wound care and other procedures as directed by an RN or physician.
• Document patient information accurately in electronic health records.
