Job summary

Kleinfelder's Ontario, CA office is seeking a Special Inspector/Materials Testing Technician to join our Southern California team. The technician will perform routine to complex inspection and testing of construction materials in the field, preparing daily reports and data sheets for accuracy and traceability.

We require 2+ years of soil, asphalt, and reinforced concrete testing, along with ACI Grade 1 and ICC Reinforced Concrete certifications, plus willingness to travel extensively in

Qualifications

• Willingness to travel throughout California (50% travel expected).
• 2+ years of soil, asphalt, and reinforced concrete testing and inspection experience.
• ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician – Grade 1 certification
• ICC Reinforced Concrete certification
• Radiation safety training for the operation of a nuclear density gauge

Responsibilities

• Perform routine to complex inspection and testing of construction materials in the field to verify conformance to plans and specs.
• Prepare daily reports and data sheets for projects.
• Travel extensively within California to service project workloads.
