Job summary

Uniti Group Inc. is seeking a Construction Technician-Line Worker to install, repair, and maintain poles, cables and conduits, both aerial and underground, across multiple sites. You will work with bucket trucks, string lines, splice copper and fiber, and follow RUS standards and safety procedures.

The role requires travel up to 50% of the year, weekend and holiday work, and on-call rotations. Candidates should have 1 year outside plant experience or a trade school cert, plus pole climbing

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of outside plant construction experience.
  • Pole climbing certification and OSHA 10 Safety.
  • Proficient at operating various construction equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Install, repair, and maintain poles.
  • Install aerial cables (fiber and copper) and set up service for customers.
  • Measure signal strength and inspect lines to locate faults.
  • Splice copper and fiber cables; perform related splicing tasks.
  • Work with bucket trucks, ladders, tunnels and trenches as needed.
  • Follow industry standards (RUS) and safety procedures.
