Job summary

Nightingale's List is seeking a travel RD - Registered Dietitian Nutritionist to support the California State Prison, Corcoran. This 24-week travel assignment offers 40 hours per week, day shifts, and a competitive tax-free stipend.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or master's degree in nutrition, dietetics, or related field.
Current RD/RDN credential and California licensure, if required.
Ability to work in a secure correctional healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

Assess nutritional needs of patients, including chronic conditions and special diet requirements.
Develop, implement, and monitor therapeutic and medically prescribed diets.
Provide individualized and group nutrition education and counseling as clinically indicated.
Ensure menus meet nutritional adequacy, food safety, and regulatory standards.
Collaborate with medical, nursing, mental health, and food service staff to support patient care.
Document nutrition assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the health record.
Monitor food service operations for compliance with sanitation and safety requirements.
