Overview

TNAA TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Interventional Radiology Technologist for a travel job in Rochester, New York.

Responsibilities

• Operate fluoroscopic equipment and assist physicians with minimally invasive, image-guided procedures.
• Prepare and observe patients undergoing procedures and report abnormal activity.
• Confirm patient identification, review imaging requests, explain procedures, and provide reassurance and support as required.
• Assist in scrubbing all diagnostic and interventional procedures.
• Monitor patients during all procedures.
• Maintain knowledge of radiation protection standards, devices, and techniques to minimize exposure to patients and staff.
• Demonstrate knowledge of physiology and anatomy relevant to radiologic procedures for accurate interpretation of examination requests.
• Operate intravenous (I.V.) and dye injector pumps as required.
• Maintain accurate patient records.
• Understand and use the McKesson PACS system.

Requirements

• Must have 1 year of experience.
• BLS, ACLS, and ARRT (R) National Certification; state-specific licensing when required.
• Vascular Interventional certificate preferred.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods; ability to bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty.
• Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.

Additional notes: Requirements: BLS, ARRT (R), 2 Years. Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.
